Dental Insurance Policies
Dental insurance helps with costs associated with dental procedures and cleanings. However, many dental services are not covered by medical plans. These are broken into three categories:
- Preventative - These services include routine checkups and cleanings.
- Basic restorative - These dental services include tooth extractions, fillings and root canals.
- Major - Crowns, bridges, dentures and other major dental procedures are covered under this plan.
Orthodontia benefits are not included and require you to add a rider or pay more in your premium for these services.
